It is important to have some idea of what you like in terms of styles and details, that way you don’t go into your appointment with no direction. Research in bridal magazines, on wedding blogs, on Pinterest or Instagram even! Create a collection or a visual mood board of the styles you like so you have an idea of what you’re looking for.
2.Make An Appointment
Make an appointment before you shop so then the shop can be prepared for you to come in and try on the right dresses. Many bridal gown stores require appointments to try on dresses. Also, keep in mind that it is best to many an appointment early in the day so the bridal store staff are most energetic and helpful, and the store will likely be less crowded.
3.Shop Early
Make sure to start shopping for your wedding dress early enough that you give it time to arrive and time for any alterations to be made without cutting it too close to the big day. Many gowns take between 4 and 8 months to produce and this is usually before alterations. However, don’t shop too early. Make sure you know the theme of your wedding before you find the dress as this could impact the style you will choose.
4.Shop on a Weekday
Bridal stores are usually very busy on the weekends. If you can, shop on a weekday! That way the store will be less crowded making the shopping experience less stressful, and the staff will be able to focus on helping you find the perfect dress. 
5.Keep an Open Mind
While it is important to have an idea of what you like, sometimes after trying on that style you’ll change your mind. It is important to be open to different dresses and styles that you didn’t expect to like. Sometimes the dress that is perfect for you is not what you expected it to be.
6.Try as Many Dresses as You Need
It is important to try on as many dresses as you need so you have plenty of options and are more likely to find that one that is perfect for you. But be careful that trying on too many may make choosing more difficult. Find a happy medium!
