Ready for your Italian wedding? In order to get married in Italy, Irish citizens must obtain a Nulla Osta from the Irish Embassy in Rome. It will be issued in Italian and will have a validity of four months.

At the foot of this page, the applicant will have to click on the “apply now” button, complete the form and print it out. Once all the documentation has been completed and prepared, the complete application needs to be sent to the address supplied on the form (at least 4 months before the date of the marriage), in the country of residence of the couple marrying.
